On-site Composting: Options and Opportunities for institutions.
This event showcased the on-site composting facilities in place at HM Young Offenders Institution Wetherby, it highlighted the legislative and environmental drivers behind this approach of dealing with food waste, described the impact on the staff and institution as a whole, the training opportunities and provided an opportunity to view the working composter lead by the Compost Doctor, Steve Ross-Smith from the Worm Research Centre. This event was supported by Recycling Action Yorkshire.
