Compass is a charity, helping people in Peterborough and the surrounding areas. Compass IT receives donations of old computers and computer accessories from local businesses and people from the local community. These computers are then re-furbished by their skilled volunteers and sold at a low price to the public. Compass IT can also provide very good computers to those who would not normally be able to afford one.

Compass also run the electrical appliance recycling project which is a partnership between Peterborough City Council and Compass Peterborough Ltd to increase the city’s recycling rates, encourage regeneration and supply affordable electrical appliances back into the community. The project aims to recycle used or damaged white goods either by repairing the items where possible or dismantling them and recycling the individual materials. The project also provides the opportunity to develop new back-to-work skills.
