| Cornwall ScrapStore is a resource centre where individuals from the community, arts, recreational and educational groups have access to clean safe scrap materials donated by industries. The materials donated are mostly new and ScrapStore sort the items and then offer them to member groups. Cornwall ScrapStore is a non-profit making charity dedicated to promoting creative play, education and recreation throughout the county. They provide the community with useful art, craft and creative materials at no cost other than an annual membership subscription. |

Composting Five Villages Community Composting A community composting project in conjunction with a local tourist attraction. Education/Awareness Raising COAST Project The COAST project promotes sustainable tourism in Cornwall through the provision of information, education and training. Cornwall Waste Action supports and promotes sustainable use of resources. Works with community organisations to help them develop new and existing projects. A community enterprise working in partnership with BTCV and the local community to encourage, promote and support sustainability. On site projects include community compost, timber and paint reuse and an organic herb nursery. The Recycle For Cornwall campaign has been developed to raise public awareness of recycling and provide consumers with a compelling reason to recycle. Projects include a real nappy project, waste minimistation and education work, ReMaDe Kernow and furniture re-us Furniture and Electrical GOFA Project Takes unwanted furniture and white goods and makes it available to those on a low income or in receipt of benefits. Collects and supplies furniture to individuals and families on a low income and in need. SOFA Cornwall offers affordable goods to those on a low income and benefits to help turn a house into a home. IT Equipment Computers For Charity A voluntary, non-profitmaking organisation improving access to I.T. for community groups since 1993. Community Assisted Projects Community Assisted Projects is a not-for-profit organisation staffed entirely by volunteers. They operate a furniture recycling scheme, the Community Litter Picking Project and a community gardening project. |
