| Fairtide Recycling provide highly-valued paid employment to 25 severely disabled clients, operating specialised shredding and crushing equipment, sorting and collecting waste, and delivering a range of products. The materials collected include paper and cardboard, aluminium and steel cans, aluminium foil and plastic bottles. They collect from over 30 offices, leisure and car park sites, schools, pubs and factories and receive weekly deliveries of plastic milk bottles from Gloucestershire County Council HQ. |

Bisley Community Composting Group Dean Community Compost Weekly kerbside collection of kitchen waste, manure and cardboard from 70 households in Newnham on Severn. Animal bedding is delivered which is processed in 4 large tumblers. Compost is used on-site for vegetables. Education and Awareness Raising A local charity promoting sustainable development. They provide advice and support to groups and individuals wishing to start a community composting site. Our mission is to inspire the people of Stroud District to cherish, care for and repair their local environment for everyone’s benefit, bringing about sustainable development. Furniture and Electrical Emmaus Gloucestershire Provides low cost re-used furniture to those in need and a home and training for homeless people. Reclaim is a community re-use enterprise that redistributes quality, low-cost household goods, including furniture and electrical items, to people on low incomes in the Cheltenham area. Providing low cost furniture to those in need of it and training and employment opportunities for local people. Recyclables Fairtide Recycling Fairtide Recycling recycle aluminium cans and foil, office paper and cardboard and plastic milk bottles. It is one of nine County Council resource centres across Gloucestershire for people with learning disabilities. FERN are currently completing a selective waste audit of SME’s in the Forest of Dean area and will shortly be issuing a report with recommendations for future action on waste and recycling. Gloucestershire Resource Centre GRC take waste from businesses and transform it into a creative resource.
