CRN UK and Health and SafetyCRN UK have been actively been involved in addressing H & S issues on many levels. Whilst the members themselves aim for continual improvement on performance, CRN UK assists in disseminating relevant information to members and providing representation on various H & S committees on their behalf. CRN UK has also been involved in independent H & S research looking at the accident figures within its membership as well as contributing to research specifically relating to the type of activities undertaken by community sector kerbside recycling organisations. CommitmentData indicates that H & S performance within the community kerbside recycling sector is better than that displayed by the waste industry as a whole. As a sector we aim to build on this performance, strive for constant improvements in H & S practices and demonstrate best practice in occupational People are at the heart of community recycling operations and we encourage working together to create a healthy workplace and a safe environment.
