CRN UK’s members are represented on various H &S boards and committees including the following:

CRN UK and its members are represented on the HSE WISH (Waste Industry Safety & Health) forum by Lisa (Pea) Saunders. The CRN UK H&S committee includes representatives from the following organisations: ECT, Newport Wastesavers, Mid-Devon Community Recycling, ECT, South Molton Recycle Ltd, Kerbside Calderdale, Monmouthshire Community Recycling and Cylch.  This committee ensures that sector H&S concerns are raised at WISH Forum meetings and that feedback is provided on relevant H&S guidance documents.

CRN UK and its Members were represented by Andy Bond (ECT) on the All Industry Advisory Committee for the HSE/ DEFRA/ SE/ WAG commissioned research ‘Collecting, transfer, treatment and processing household waste and recyclables assessment of the occupational health and safety risks of systems’. Representatives from Newport Wastesavers, ECT, Bryson House Recycling, NW Community Waste Network, Alloa Community Enterprises, The Community Composting Network & Aardvark Recycling attended the consultation workshops connected to this project.

CRN UK and its Members are represented by Newport Waste Savers at H&S training meetings and committees.
