The Community Recycling Network (CRN) is organising a public debate on incineration with energy recovery. The debate, entitled "The Burning Issue", will be chaired by Liverpool Councillor Richard Kemp. Keith Collins, a director of the London Recycling Consortium, will defend the proposition "This house believes that incineration has no place on Merseyside". Speaker against the motion will be Bill Prescott, Group Technical Director with Onyx Environmental.
The public debate will take place at Liverpool Town Hall on the 16th of April 1999. Doors will open at 6.30 pm.
The event is part of the Community Recycling Network's 10th Annual Conference at the University of Liverpool on the 16-18th of April 1999, sponsored by UK Waste.

The Community Recycling Network is a national umbrella organisation representing over 250 community recycling and waste management projects throughout the UK.
