PRESS RELEASE
For immediate release:
13 September 2007
The CRN UK welcomes today’s report on the funding of waste management services in Wales from the Welsh Assembly Government.
It shows that the social economy is providing the most efficient recycling services in Wales both in terms of cost per tonne and cost per collection.
Lucy Danger, Chair of the CRN UK said: “The statistics in this report speak for themselves. The third sector is way out in the lead when it comes to providing value for money and quality recycling collection services. We thank WAG for drawing this to everyone’s attention and congratulate our Welsh colleagues on their achievement. It only remains for me to point out that that the third sector is providing value and inspiration throughout the rest of the UK.”
