Welcome to the North West Community Waste Network’s directory of Community Waste Sector Organisations and their partners, including other key contacts in the region.
Much of the work done by this sector goes unseen; perhaps not the recycling and re- use activities, but the social and economic contributions these organisations make to their communities. These things are more difficult to quantify, though just as real and hugely important.
It’s a great pleasure to have been involved in producing this directory, something tangible that documents the number and diversity of community waste sector organisations, all doing their bit to make their communities more inclusive. Hopefully this directory will make their services more easily accessible.
Whatever their size or area of work, they are all linked by a common desire to reduce the amount of waste that is sent for disposal by landfill and incineration and a commitment to maximising re-use and recycling of waste materials for the benefit of their communities.
