New appointments at WRAP
The Director of Retail and Organics Programmes at WRAP is to take on the role of Director for the organisation’s retail team. Richard Swannell, who previously headed WRAP’s Retail Programme, will be now also cover the Organics programme. Philip Ward, former Director of the Retail Team, will now take on the position of Director of Local Government Services.
Before coming to WRAP, Richard worked for AEA Technology plc. on a number of environmental projects and was also Deputy Director of Envirowise. Since joining WRAP as Head of Innovation, Richard was involved in the development of the Courtauld Commitment, which saw WRAP draw up an agreement with retailers to reduce packaging growth.
WRAP’s retail programmes are now headed by Andy Dawe, who took the post in September after moving from his position in the Manufacturing Team as Glass Technology and Manufacturing Support Manager. Andy says: “I am delighted to take up this role which holds many exciting challenges for retailers and the supply chain.”
