New Appointment for WRAP
The Waste and Resources Action Programme (WRAP) has announced the appointment of Dr Liz Goodwin as their new Chief Executive.
Joining the company in 2001 as Director of Materials, Liz Goodwin headed up a number of core WRAP programmes focused on overcoming market barriers and boosting the UK's reprocessing capacity. Dr Goodwin moved on to becoming WRAP's director of Construction and Manufacturing in 2006.
Chairman of WRAP Vic Cocker, said in his announcement: "Liz has an outstanding record of achievement and we have every confidence that she will build on the strengths and capabilities of WRAP and its team. The issues of recycling and resource efficiency, and the contribution that WRAP and its partners can make to tackling climate change, are more important than ever. I know that Liz has the skills and commitment to make a substantial impact on this crucial part of the UK's environmental agenda."
Liz Goodwin commented: "I am delighted to have been offered this opportunity to lead WRAP, building on the achievements of the last seven years. I am keen to work with our partners in all sectors to ensure that the role of recycling and materials resource efficiency is well understood so that we can continue to make real progress." |
