New Ptarmigan Head of Environment

Gareth Morton has been appointed Head of Environment at Leeds-based PR agency, Ptarmigan. He will lead development of business opportunities across sustainability, waste and resource management.

Ptarmigan is an international company, and its PR work has won it multiple awards, including the PR Week Consultancy of the Year title.

Morton has fifteen years of senior-level experience within the waste and recycling industry. He is a multi-disciplinary specialist in behavioural change and social marketing campaigns. He has worked for government departments, national charities, local authorities, blue chip retailers and manufacturers.

Morton says he is looking forward to the challenges of his new position: "The environment, especially our impact as consumers and companies on climate change, is fast becoming the issue for the 21st century.
